No Sweat

One of the more positive things that came out of our being trapped inside during much of this snowy winter is that K learned how to knit.  Under Nana’s tutelage, she took a few knitting baby steps, creating a hat.  Then another.

Then, in typical K fashion, she decided to skip the intermediate steps.

Yes, the sweater was her third knitting project ever.

She’s now moved on to knitting a replica of the Statue of Liberty.

To scale.

Every time I try to write a clever response to your message, I get so teary I can’t type. I’ll just say, “I love you too, precious girl.”

Great sweater….I wouldn’t know where to start 🙂

[and by the way…..nice bridge also. I wonder who made that]

I am so jealous!!! I’ve been knitting two years and haven’t had the nerve to do anything bigger than a dishcloth.

Ms CPQ, I’m with you! I knitted 587 stocking hats before I ventured into deeper waters. That K is quite a girl, isn’t she? And I’m not the least bit prejudiced. And btw, you should be proud of those little knitted animals you’re doing – that looks very difficult to me.

Just further proof she’s upholding the Family Motto:

“Anything worth doing, is worth overdoing!”

Nice job on the sweater, Baby Ducks!
