House Guest

My brother’s family has spread itself out over several continents for the next two weeks.  His two oldest have gone to camp.  His youngest is with his wife’s sister.  He and his wife are taking advantage of this time to explore the British Isles.

We are also doing our part by playing host to the smallest member of my brother’s family.

Meet Buttercup

Buttercup has now taken up residence in our living room.  Or, should I say, Buttercup III has taken up residence.  It seems these hamsters are right on the precipice of dying at all times, since this is the third version to valiantly take up the Buttercup moniker.

Let’s all pray we don’t have to purchase Buttercup IV over the next two weeks.

I think ours were named squeekie…….. They moved on to things like snakes and lizards, and I faintly remember a very large and most unattractive hairy spider, so enjoy your time with Buttercup !!!

Do I see a new addition to your family in your future? From personal experience, the way to NIP IT IN THE BUD is make the kids take care of it every little second.

They’ll be glad to see it go and won’t request a replacement.

Watch out. This thing can go under doors and if very fond of eating carpet….as I recall it from #1 or #2. Hey, I think Buttercup might really like to see what it’s like outdoors. Then would come # IV.
