Thanksgiving Week, Parts 3 and 4

Just to wrap up the now week-long celebration of Thanksgiving …

One of the (very few) downsides of having so many family members in town is deciding where to spend major holidays.  Over the years we’ve had to develop a fairly complex system of rotations for who is hosting what holiday meal.  The system includes charts, graphs, spreadsheets and phases of the moon. This year’s Thanksgiving Day meal (aka Thanksgiving Week, Part 3), we were at my sister-in-law’s sister’s house.

Even though we weren't hosting, my turkey-frying expertise was called into service

The obligatory kids table shot

Obviously my brother liked the meal

But I think the overload of carbohydrates went to my dad's head. Literally.

The biggest downside to not hosting Thanksgiving is the paucity of leftovers available.

But never fear, Nana is here.

On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, she whipped up another turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and green bean casserole, just we could celebrate Thanksgiving Week, Part 4.

A happy (belated) Thanksgiving from the ImNotNed family.

More than one Thanksgiving…you must be very thankful….or at least you like turkey. Chick Filet…sp?…hmmmm. Can’t say much for the “hair.” But we won’t talk about hair.
